Next Big Supermodel?

Meet 10 year old french model Thylane Lena-Rose Blondeau.  She's been modeling since the age of 4 and is taking the fashion world by storm.  There was huge controversy and backlash surrounding her photos from a Vogue Paris shoot, which were seen as much too adult and overly sexualized for a 10 year old girl. I would agree that it's pretty creepy, but the bottom line is do you think she's the next big thing? I think she's gorgeous and definitely has a bright future ahead of her! What do you think?

Thinking About You...

It's been another super busy but very productive week and absolutely GORGEOUS here in Los Angeles- 80 degrees and sunny! I have soooo many new songs that I wish I could share with you all right now, but all in good time.  2012 is already starting out to be an an incredible, inspiring year working with super dope and talented people.  This week I was in the studio writing with Christina Milian (She's on this upcoming season of The Voice so make sure to check her out!) Young Yonny, Willie Donut, and Cliff Lewis.  All ridiculously talented people and the song we did is sounding craaaaazy! I also squeezed in time to film a little first cover video (Hopefully first of many to come) of the song I've been crushin' on lately - Frank Ocean's "Thinking About You." I hope you like it. I'm back in the studio this afternoon knocking out a song for Miss Christina Aguilera (one of many..) so stay tuned!

Bachelorette Party

Last weekend I left sunny 77 degree weather here in Los Angeles to fly home to Chicago's cold, blustery 28 degrees. Crazy, right? But it was all worth it because as maid of honor I had to plan my sister Anne's bachelorette party - ow ow! She actually didn't want the typical bachelorette party with male stripper, all things penis inspired, etc. (Well, I still had to make some penis pasta...) So we had a lingerie party and then surprised her with a pole dancing party at S Factor Chicago.  I wasn't able to snap too many photos but here are a few from the lingerie party and look of the day! There's a great store on Melrose here in LA that has some awesome, one of a kind t-shirts (Same place where I got the t-shirt featured in this previous post here).  I live right off of Melrose, which is both a blessing AND a curse for obvious reasons ;) Here's the look of the day featuring the Melrose Ave. asymmetrical t-shirt and my brand new handcuff clutch from Asos. As soon as I saw it, I had to buy it as it reminded me of the Louis Vuitton Lock-it devotion clutch (as seen below worn by Angelina Jolie). What do you think?

New Year's Eve Wedding in Nashville

My amazing college roommate Samara had a fabulous southern wedding in Nashville on New Year's Eve and I was honored to sing at the wedding ceremony.  I'd never been to Nashville before, and although I didn't have much time to explore the city, I immediately fell in love with it.  The people are incredibly friendly with that contagious southern charm, the food is great, and I was so happy to be there to celebrate this new chapter of Samara's life as well as ring in 2012 in amazing company!
