Anne's Engagement Party in Chicago

Sorry I have not had a new posting in a few days! I returned home to Chicago Thursday night as my older sister Anne recently got engaged and we had her engagement party on Saturday night.  Below are some photos from the festivities. What did you all do this weekend? I cannot believe the summer's almost over.  It's nice to be back home in Chicago when the weather is beautiful and it's SO green (which takes some getting used to after being in LA for so long where it's all mountains and desert!) Although I am on vacation, I cannot stop doing my vocal warmups and practicing every day. Too much dedication :) Hope you all had a great weekend!

Je suis désolée que je n'ai pas posté dans quelques jours.  Je suis rentrée à Chicago jeudi soir. Ma sœur plus âgée s'est fiancée récemment et on a fêté la couple samedi soir.  Je peux pas croire l’été est presque terminé! J'adore étant chez moi à Chicago quand il fait beau, plein de soleil, très verte et luxuriant (particulièrement en contraste à Los Angeles ou c'est tous les montagnes et le désert).  Même si je suis en vacances, je peux pas arrêter faisant ma pratique vocale. Bustier to Boost My Day

I was in the studio last night with the incredibly talented Mitch Allan, (SR-71, Satellite, songwriter) The Monsters and The Strangerz production teams (Diddy, Cody Simpson, Sean Kingston, Soulja Boy, etc.).  I was doing vocals on an amazing song Mitch wrote that is being pitched to Christina Aguilera and her team for her next album. This afternoon I have another 8 hour songwriting and recording session and then it's time to pack because I'm heading back home for a week to my hometown of Chicago! It will be nice to take a little breather, but who am I kidding, I know work will sneak it's way in there somehow. I can't stop myself :) Next post will be from the Windy City of Chicago!

Il espère que Christina Aguilera et son équipe prendront la chanson pour son album prochain.  Cet après-midi, j'ai encore une séance de 8 heures composant une nouvelle chanson et l'enregistrant.  Et puis, c'est le temps de faire mes valises parce que je quitte d'aller à Chicago, ma ville natale.  Je peux pas attendre d'avoir une petite pause.  Le blog prochain sera de Chicago!

Dog Days of Summer

Happy Sunday! As promised, here is a new look, and even better, it's featuring Lucky & Thatcher, the two beautiful rescued greyhounds I'm taking care of this weekend.  Earlier in the day I was in the studio with my producer Rob Kleiner recording our second song together.  We'll have to do one more session to finish it up, but I'm really excited about the song. I think you're all going to love it (at least I hope so :) Wishing you all a great end to your weekend!

Weekend Make-up Inspiration

Sorry I have not had the opportunity to post a new look in a few days. I'm looking to shoot one later on today hopefully so it IS on its way!! In the meantime, I wanted to share some of my collection of make-up looks that I love.  I love doing my own make-up and for years, I've done mine, my sister's, my friends, AND my sister's friends make-up for school dances and such.  I also do my own make-up for my live shows.  To give you a few examples, I've also included a couple of my performance videos from awhile back so you can see my stage make-up.  Enjoy and have a fabulous start to your weekend!

Happy Wednesday to everyone! How has your week been so far? Mine so far has been a blur of writing, meetings, and the recording studio.  I have a big meeting today that I'm looking forward to and gearing up to start recording vocals on my second song with producer Rob Kleiner.  Super excited about the song and can't wait to share it! I included some photos from the other night when I was working with the amazing producer Young Yonny (Trey Songz "Say Aah," Mya, Lil Wayne, etc.) I wrote a song to one of his tracks that's very much in the vein of Bruno Mars. Looking forward to hearing the finished mix of that.  Here's a casual look I wore for the studio that day (minus wearing those heels in the recording booth for 5 hours. Not so fun!) I love this Vague t-shirt. I wear it all the time. Hope you like it :)
