Rehearsal Dinner / My Week

Like I said in my last post, I was in Chicago last week because my sister got married! I'll do another post later of all the wedding pics, but here's what I wore to the rehearsal dinner the night before (Dress by Asos). I got back to LA Monday night and it's been session after session ever since.  I was working at Universal Music Publishing with the producer who did the new hit song "Lotus Flower Bomb." It's been playing all over the radio here in LA.  Do you know it? Also, here's a sneak peek wedding photo. More to come :)

Comme j'ai dit en dernier poste, j’étais à Chicago la semaine dernière parce que ma sœur s'est mariée! Je ferai un autre poste bientôt avec toutes les photos du cérémonie, mais voila ici quelques photos de mon robe (de Asos) que je portais la veille.  Je suis revenue à LA lundi soir et j'ai eu des sessions au studio depuis chaque jour.  J'ai travaillée au studio à Universal Music Publishing avec le producteur qui a crée la chanson "Lotus Flower Bomb" par Wale et Miguel. Bustier to Boost My Day

I was in the studio last night with the incredibly talented Mitch Allan, (SR-71, Satellite, songwriter) The Monsters and The Strangerz production teams (Diddy, Cody Simpson, Sean Kingston, Soulja Boy, etc.).  I was doing vocals on an amazing song Mitch wrote that is being pitched to Christina Aguilera and her team for her next album. This afternoon I have another 8 hour songwriting and recording session and then it's time to pack because I'm heading back home for a week to my hometown of Chicago! It will be nice to take a little breather, but who am I kidding, I know work will sneak it's way in there somehow. I can't stop myself :) Next post will be from the Windy City of Chicago!

J'ai été dans le studio la nuit dernière avec l'incroyable Mitch Allan, (SR-71, Satellite, songwriter) les producteurs The Monsters et The Strangerz (Diddy, Cody Simpson, Sean Kingston, Soulja Boy, etc.).  J’étais enregistrant mes vocales pour une chanson très touchante que Mitch a écrit. Il espère que Christina Aguilera et son équipe prendront la chanson pour son album prochain.  Cet après-midi, j'ai encore une séance de 8 heures composant une nouvelle chanson et l'enregistrant.  Et puis, c'est le temps de faire mes valises parce que je quitte d'aller à Chicago, ma ville natale.  Je peux pas attendre d'avoir une petite pause.  Le blog prochain sera de Chicago!

Dog Days of Summer

Happy Sunday! As promised, here is a new look, and even better, it's featuring Lucky & Thatcher, the two beautiful rescued greyhounds I'm taking care of this weekend.  Earlier in the day I was in the studio with my producer Rob Kleiner recording our second song together.  We'll have to do one more session to finish it up, but I'm really excited about the song. I think you're all going to love it (at least I hope so :) Wishing you all a great end to your weekend!

Plus tôt dans la journée, j’étais au studio avec mon producteur enregistrant notre deuxième chanson ensemble. Vague

Happy Wednesday to everyone! How has your week been so far? Mine so far has been a blur of writing, meetings, and the recording studio.  I have a big meeting today that I'm looking forward to and gearing up to start recording vocals on my second song with producer Rob Kleiner.  Super excited about the song and can't wait to share it! I included some photos from the other night when I was working with the amazing producer Young Yonny (Trey Songz "Say Aah," Mya, Lil Wayne, etc.) I wrote a song to one of his tracks that's very much in the vein of Bruno Mars. Looking forward to hearing the finished mix of that.  Here's a casual look I wore for the studio that day (minus wearing those heels in the recording booth for 5 hours. Not so fun!) I love this Vague t-shirt. I wear it all the time. Hope you like it :)

Je suis impatient pour une grande réunion cet après-midi.  Aussi, je vais enregistrer mes chants pour ma nouvelle chanson avec Rob Kleiner.  Je peux pas attendre jusqu’à je peux la partager.   J'ai également inclus des photos du studio quand j'ai travaillée avec le producteur Young Yonny (Trey Songz "Say Aah." Lil Wayne, Mya, etc.) J'ai écrit un chanson à l'une de ses morceaux.  C'est similaire à une chanson de Bruno Mars.  Voici un nouveau look détendu que je portais au studio l'autre jour (Sauf que les talons hauts. Ils n’étaient pas si confortable après les porter pendant 5 heures dans la cabine d'enregistrement!) J'aime bien ce t-shirt "vague." Je le porte tout le temps. J’espère que vous aimez :) 

 

Leopard & Leather

Since my last post I have been in the studio lots more. I'm working on song #2 with producer/songwriter Rob Kleiner and it's gearing up to be quite the fierce, sassy banger! I'm working on writing it now and look forward to sharing it with you all soon! I also recorded vocals for a hook and bridge I wrote last week for a hip hop song that I will be featured on.  The sound on that is going to be really huge and I'm really looking forward to hearing the finished product once it's all mixed and ready to go.  I'll keep you posted! Depuis mon dernier post, j'ai été au studio beaucoup plus.  Je suis en train de travailler sur la deuxième chanson avec Rob Kleiner.  Il va être très féroce et fort! Je suis en train de l’écrire et je suis impatient de le partager avec vous bientôt.  Aussi, j'ai enregistrée mes chants au studio pour une nouvelle chanson de hip-hop sur laquelle je serai présentée.   Le son de chanson va être immense et je suis impatient d'entendre le produit final.  Voici un photo du studio et un nouveau look en cuir et du léopard. Tribal Glamour

I have been spending a huge amount of time in the studio lately, which I absolutely love.  I've been working with various producers and writers for other artist projects, writing for an upcoming Nickelodeon show, as well as my own artist project.  I'm heading back into the studio today to work on a new song for myself.  I can't divulge too much yet, but the direction so far is very unique, blending pop with my soul and gospel influences (and even hints of my opera background).  We have been using my song from my previous demo, "That Naive" as inspiration for the pop/soul direction and I can't wait to share it with you all soon! Til then, a new tribal glam look.

Récemment, je passe beaucoup de temps au studio que j'adore! Je travaille avec des producteurs et compositeurs variées pour des projets artistes, j’écris pour une nouvelle émission Nickelodeon, ainsi que mon propre projet.  Je serai encore au studio aujourd'hui pour créer un nouveau chanson pour moi.   Je peux pas en dire trop maintenant, mais la direction  est très unique avec des éléments pop, gospel, et soul (et un peu de ma formation d’opéra).
